In August 2026, the European Network of Cancer Registries (ENCR) will launch the next round of elections to renew part of the ENCR Steering Committee for the 2027–2029 term. The Steering Committee is responsible for guiding ENCR’s strategic priorities, supporting harmonisation of cancer registration practices across Europe, and advising on the development of the European Cancer Information System (ECIS) in collaboration with the Joint Research Centre.

During ther period August-September 2026, ENCR-affiliated registries will be invited to submit candidatures according to the ENCR Membership and Election Rules, which ensure representation from all UN geographical areas and key partners in the cancer registry community. Detailed information on eligibility, timelines and how to submit a candidacy will be published on the ENCR Elections page.
Interested cancer registries are encouraged to consult the ENCR Elections page and consider putting forward candidates with experience in cancer registration, data quality and collaborative European projects.
