The Joint Cancer Registry of the Federal States of East Germany has completed a Final Report

The Joint Cancer Registry (JCR) was founded in the 1950s and dissolved on 31 December 2022. It was a political decision to end the joint epidemiological registration and continue the cancer registration seperately in the five federal States former belonging to the JCR: Berlin/Brandenburg, Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania, Saxony-Anhalt, Saxony, and Thüringen.

The JCR has completed a comprehensive final report before its dissolution on 31 December 2022. It describes in a main section the most common localizations on six pages each. In the appendix you will find the development of cases and rates from 1961 to 2020 by gender, localization and region up to district level as well as basic epidemiological data for the 5 year period 2016-2020 by gender, localization, age and region.
