The goal of the EU project IDEA4RC is to establish a European Data Ecosystem to advance research on rare cancers. Such "Data Space for rare cancers" will facilitate the re-use of existing clinical data from multiple hospitals across Europe, by leveraging emerging interoperability technologies, federated learning, and AI approaches. This Webinar Series, launched within the "IDEA4RC Community of Interest", aims to raise awareness about the project within the broader healthcare community. In the 1st webinar, Dr. Annalisa Trama, epidemiologist at the National Cancer Institute of Milan and project coordinator, will explain how the IDEA4RC tools and infrastructure are meant to overcome the current limitations in the re-use of clinical data.
